A Traditional Chinese Treatment

I have tried Shiatsu and Swedish massage. Also Thai massage. These are all good massage therapies, which are readily available in the market today.

But what is this I hear? A traditional chinese treatment? Well, let's see this one.

This offer comes from Wellness Sanctuary Clinic located at 450-B Wilson Street, Greenhills, San Juan, Metro Manila.

The treatment package includes:

  • A 30-minute Acupuncture (treatment complies with international standards; only disposable needles are used),

  • a 20-minute Ventosa Cupping Massage,

  • a 10-minute Tui Na Massage, and

  • a 30-minute Ear Acupuncture Detox.

Sounds good to me. A complete medical system used in China for centuries now.

In oriental medicine, it is believed that the body’s Qi, the energy flowing within our bodies, must be balanced to be healthy. It is achievable by applying specific pressure and technique to one’s meridians/channels. Acupuncture penetrates ‘acupoints’ on the body using fine needles for building body energy and detoxing, while Ventosa Cupping massage utilizes cup glasses to attain ‘acupressure’ and suction on specific body parts, and Tui Na Massage targets the well-being of joints and bones using principles from martial arts.

These comprise of what is known as Traditional Chinese Treatment and only licensed practitioners can perform the said treatments. Many testify a pain-free and soothing feeling after one session especially for muscle, bone and joint pain, lung infections, colds, and problems with internal organs.

I know this sounds different from the normal massage offers we hear every day. But, what can stop us from trying something new?

Take the Stress Out at DeStress Spa

Stress is one of the many reasons why people get sick. How to handle stress is of prime importance and should not be taken lightly. I teach work ethics to prospective overseas workers at our company, Uno Overseas Placement. One topic we highlight is the issue of stress. One antidote to stress is to learn how to relax.

Speaking of relaxation, I think having a good dose of massage helps a lot. I do it at least once a week.
Today, I am featuring one spa that offers you the following choices for relaxation:

  • P350 for a 60-minute basic massage (shiatsu, Swedish or combination)
  • P650 for a 90-minute aromatherapy massage + foot reflexology
  • P1000 for a 90-minute aromatherapy massage + apricot body scrub

DeStress Express Spa offers these on better terms at Groupon (up to 70% off). But even without availing Groupon's offer, it's still a reasonable price DeStress Express Spa offers.

What's more, they are located in Shopwise, a big supermart along Libis, Quezon City. I think it's a very good location if you're there for shopping, might as well get a massage.

You get to choose from DeStress Express Spa’s three aromatherapy essential oils. The lemon grass oil helps promote smooth skin; the lavender oil has a calming effect, is good for anxiety-reduction, and for relaxation; the eucalyptus oil stimulates the immune system and has analgesic effects. For the shiatsu treatment, the therapist uses his or her thumbs, fingers, palms, fists, elbows, knees, and feet to apply different types of pressure on specific spots of the patient’s body.

An aromatherapy massage blends modalities to relieve each body's bundle of concerns, infusing the skin with a choice of essential oils and superfluous scents. You may choose to get either the foot reflexology or apricot body scrub. In the foot reflexology, trained mollycoddlers apply firm pressure to your shoe fillers and target zones and reflex areas that correspond to other parts of your body. In the apricot body scrub, deft hands gently massage apricot-laden crystals onto the body, evicting dead cells to reveal soft, smooth skin.

There you are. If ever you're in Quezon City and near the Libis Area, visit DeStress Express Spa and get the stress out of your mind and body.

Dead Sea Salt Scrub and Massage

This 1 hour Dead Sea Salt Scrub comes with body massage from Essential Nails and Spa located in Quezon City.
Do you know that Quezon City is the Wellness Center of the Philippines? That's the reason why many Spa and Wellness shops locate their business here. It is the former capital of the Philippines (1948-1976) and is the most populous city (almost 3 million now) located in Luzon Island.

The city was named after Manuel Luis Quezon, the first President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines. There are about 60,000 business establishments in the city and is the entertainment capital of the country with the three (3) biggest network: ABS-CBN, GMA7, and ABC5.
Essential Nails and Spa's therapist will pamper you with this very special treatment to soothe your body and spirit. During the 60 minutes of treatment, your joints are mobilize and muscles are compressed to simultaneously relax and energize you. This is definitely a 100% natural therapy.
At Essential Nails and Spa they’ll give you a nice fluffy towel to cover yourself with as you lie down and enjoy a relaxing 1 Hour Dead Sea Salt Scrub with Body Massage at Essential Nails & Spa for P199 instead of P750 ... You'll never want to leave.
